The Community Care Clinic offers free health education classes that are open to the public!  You do NOT have to be a patient to join us!  Call 828-265-8591 or email for more information.

Diabetes Education - Join us for a series of 4 hour-long classes to learn about your diagnosis.
Fun and Fitness - Meets twice weekly for low-impact exercises.
Smoking Cessation - This is a series of 4 classes, each building on the previous one to help you stop smoking, or to help you make sure you don’t start again!
Lunch and Learn
- Join us at the clinic for a monthly free healthy lunch and an informal chat about the challenges of having diabetes and/or hypertension. A medical professional will also be there to answer questions.

A series of cooking classes are available through a partnership with the Agricultural Extension Office. These classes are designed to teach healthy cooking techniques, as well as money-saving buying tips, meal-planning and health food choices.. Funding from  BREMCO allows us the opportunity to offer these classes free for our patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes and/or hypertension.
